Safety
Student safety is our number one concern. With that in mind, we need to work together especially when it comes to school pickup and drop-off areas. The two busiest times at any school are 10 minutes before school begins in the morning and 10 minutes after school gets out in the afternoon. Because so many cars are coming and going from our schools, things can get hectic.

It is important that we have the cooperation and support of our parents and patrons as they visit. We ask everyone to follow the procedures at their school. As parents see potential concerns or think of a better way to provide for the safety of students, they are encouraged to contact the School Community Council or principal to share their ideas.

Jordan School District conducts annual reviews and assessments at every school to ensure students can arrive and leave school safely. Pick up and drop off areas are considered part of a school’s Safe Walking Route and are planned with input from the School Community Council, administrators and parents. When needed, Jordan will also bring out the Utah State Engineer for Traffic and Safety to assess traffic flow and patterns at our buildings to ensure the procedures are optimal. Working together helps keep all of our students safe.
