Every day Jordan School District works hard to be a friend to the environment. The little things we do each day can have a significant impact. Here are some examples:
- Over the past year we have saved 363 trees by sending flyers home digitally.
- We are currently on track to cut our power usage by more than one million kilowatt hours.
- We have added seven compressed natural gas (CNG) buses to our fleet bringing our total to 68 CNG buses.
- We are adding 10 more CNG buses to our fleet in July.
- In 2015 we saved nearly 100 million gallons of water through student involvement, staff training and adjusting sprinkler timers for weather conditions.
When we all do little things, together we can make a big difference.
